A Passionate Desire For God

Psalm 42:1-2 “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.”

Point To Ponder: Desire has an objective and can be of one’s choosing. One can choose not to love God, the things of God or love one another. One can choose to be complainers, haters, lovers of drama, gossipers or unforgiving. The more the object is desired will govern how passionate one strives to obtain it. Dew on grass will not do, so the deer searches for freshwater to quench its thirst. In His Image, we were made! No other can quench what we thirst for! The degree of enthusiasm with which one thirst for God will determine the urgency one will strive to know either the god of their making or “The Living God,” who loves unconditional & provides eternally. My soul thirst for You O God!
